The Merck Manual of Diagnosis and Therapy. Merck Research Laboratories. 1992. ISBN No. 0911910-16-6. The physician's bible.

Surgery on File. Facts on File, Inc. 1989. ISBN No. 0-8160-1770-0 (for example). A series of practical descriptions of surgical techniques, with illustrations. Each volume covers a separate specialty, such as orthopedics & trauma, obstetrics & gynecology, etc. The publisher gives permission to copy the texts!
