About Holly Mikkelson

Holly Mikkelson, with her husband and partner, Jim Willis, is one of the founders of ACEBO. Holly is the author of ACEBO's interpreter training products. She is also the Director of the International Interpretation Resource Center (IIRC) at the Monterey Institute of International Studies (MIIS) in Monterey, California. She has been a professional court interpreter and translator since she received her M.A. from MIIS in 1976. Holly is a state and federally certified court interpreter and is accredited by the American Translators Association. She has given many training workshops throughout the United States, and has been a consultant to a number of court-interpreter testing and regulatory entities, including the California Judicial Council and the National Center for State Courts.
